Raymond Rosas, 19, admitted to shooting his former roommate because he didn't like him, police said.
Deputy Police Chief Jim Weston said Cecele Thelmas Linton, 18, admitted to helping Rosas plan the killing.
Both were being held without bail at the Washoe County Jail.
The name of the 44-year-old victim was withheld until relatives are notified.
