Richard W. Aley
Richard W. Aley, 66, of Pahrump died Aug. 16 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 30, 1932, in Oklahoma. A resident for many years, he was a real estate agent and an Army veteran.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
George Lloyd Beck
George Lloyd Beck, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born June 15, 1925, in Sherrill, N.Y. A resident for more than 44 years, he was a retired automobile painter for Community and Fairway Chevrolet and a World War II Navy veteran who served in Europe and the Pacific.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; two sons, Gary Beck and Jerry Beck, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Edward Beck of Largo, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite hospice or charity.
G. Rosemary Bogelsack
G. Rosemary Bogelsack, 85, of Las Vegas and Bayside, N.Y., died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 25, 1914, in New York City. A part-time Las Vegas resident for one year, she was a retired executive secretary in the investment banking field, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Colonial Players Theatre Group where she had leading roles, a former piano teacher and served as grand representative to the state of New Mexico.
She is survived by one daughter, Rosemary G. Fugarino of Las Vegas.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. An Eastern Star service was scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Services will be 7 p.m. today in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.
Margaret Boyer
Margaret Boyer, 85, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospice. A resident for many years, she was born Dec. 1, 1913, in Michigan.
Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Austin Walter Carlson
Austin Walter Carlson, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1931, in Illinois. A resident for 16 years, he was a mining engineer and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by one son, Justin Carlson; one daughter, Roberta Galliani; one sister, Lorraine Berendsen; and four grandchildren.

Dorothy M. Cowell
Dorothy M. Cowell, 94, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 20, 1905, in Colden, N.Y. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Richard Cowell of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Luc R. 'Bear' Croteau
Luc R. "Bear" Croteau, 44, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. He was born May 17, 1955, in Ottawa. A resident for six years, he was a casino shift supervisor.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; one son, Luke Croteau of North Las Vegas; and his mother, Louise Cyr of Hull, Quebec.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Gene 'Gino' Fano
Gene "Gino" Fano, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 28, 1939, in Cleveland. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired hotel bartender, a Navy veteran, a member of the Bartenders Union and Culinary Union.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy K.; four daughters, Christina Prazer of Carrollton, Ohio, Theresa Horning of East Canton, Ohio, Lisa Ehret of Canton and Barbara Nicholson of Navarre, Ohio; one son, Nicholas Fano of Canton; two sisters, Barbara Harris of Dayton, Ohio, and Marie Anastasi of Richmond, Ky.; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Peter Dennison Flippin
Peter Dennison Flippin, 30, of Orange City, Fla., died Thursday in a Florida Hospital. He was born Sept. 30, 1968, in Bremerton, Wash. A former Las Vegas resident from 1969-1990, he was a warehouse manager for a distributing company.
He is survived by his fiancee, Shelly Palen of Orange City; his father, Stephen Flippin, his mother, Marjorie Smith, and one sister, Alison Pitts, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, Stephen Flippin of Peoria, Ill., Jonathon Pitts of Las Vegas and JJ Smith of Henderson; two nieces and two nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
George Girgenti
George Girgenti, 56, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 23, 1943, in Detroit. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired newspaper pressman and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one daughter, Danielle Girgenti of Las Vegas; four sons, George Girgenti II of Las Vegas and Joseph Girgenti, Anthony Girgenti and Michael Girgenti, all of Michigan; two sisters, Mary Shelest and Ester Girgenti, both of Livonia, Mich.; two brothers, Mark Girgenti of Florida and Rick Girgenti of Redford, Mich.; and five grandchildren.

William Stephen Kalmi, 74, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 5, 1925, in New York Mills, Minn. A resident for 10 years, he was a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Polly S.; two sons, David Kalmi of Bemidji, Minn., and Kim Kalmi of Loveland, Colo.; one stepdaughter, Mary Kalvin of Long Beach, Calif.; one sister, Catherine Joiner of Lake Forest, Ill.; and one grandson.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Helen "Bunnie" Kaufman, 76, of Las Vegas died Aug. 27 in Las Vegas. She was born April 13, 1923, in Cleveland. A resident for 15 years, she was an antique dealer.
She is survived by one daughter, Laurie Fisher-Fellows, one brother, John Robert Weidmer, and one sister, Geri Weidmer, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Nick Laurito, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired newspaper circulation manager and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Elena Cope of Las Vegas and Diana Salazer of Littleton, Colo.; four sons, Andy Talento and Mike Laurito, both of Pittsburgh, Craig Laurito of Florence, Ky., and Dr. P.J. Laurito of Las Vegas; two sisters, Rosa Nock of Pittsburgh and Lucia Saltzman of Oklahoma; two brothers, John Laurito of Pittsburgh and Tony Laurito of Spring, Texas; and eight grandchildren.

Eva L. Lawson, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 24, 1912, in Connorsville, Ind. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired schoolteacher and restaurateur.
She is survived by one daughter, Gay Lawson of Nashville, Ind.; one son, Guy Lawson of Edinburg, Ind.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be in Indiana.
Arthur M. Lelles
Arthur M. Lelles, 73, of Boulder City died Thursday in Henderson. He was born Oct. 2, 1925, in California. A resident for 40 years, he was self-employed and was an Army and Merchant Marine veteran.
He is survived by one son, Stuart Lelles of Henderson; and one daughter, Tyra Brown of California.

Betty Gean Lingenfelter, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 19, 1931, in California. A resident for six years, she was a bookkeeper.
She is survived by one son, David Lingenfelter; two daughters, Vicki Syzdek and Jenny Lingenfelter; one sister, Marjorie Guy of Phoenix; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

James Loughlin, 53, of Las Vegas died Aug. 19 in Las Vegas. He was born May 12, 1946, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a welder in the construction industry.
He is survived by one son, Jade Loughlin of Massachusetts; three brothers, Richard Loughlin of Henderson, Larry Loughlin of Seattle and Michael Loughlin of Montana; and three sisters, Vicki Egan, Margaret Clason and Sandy McConniel, all of South Dakota.

Jane T. Lynn, 73, of Las Vegas died Aug. 31 in a local hospice. She was born July 11, 1926, in Zanesville, Ohio. A resident for 45 years, she was a Crestwood Elementary School teacher for more than 30 years, a Marietta (Ohio) College graduate and a respected breeder of champion shihtzu show dogs.
She is survived by three daughters, Chrys Moore of Reno, Cynthia Lynn of Seattle and Suzi Lynn Kline of Rawling, Wyo.; two adopted children, Kris Taylor and Jamey Causey, both of Nevada; one sister, Julie Abrahamowicz, and one niece, Amy Abrahamowicz, both of Lorain, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

Praxedes Q. Leadbeter Moffatt, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born July 4, 1923, in the Philippines. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Don Leadbeter and Roger Leadbeter, both of Las Vegas, and Robert Leadbeter of Henderson; four daughters, Pamela Mathis, Linda Stegall, Valerie Hughes and Loretta Ferraris, all of Las Vegas; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Elmer H. Niehoff, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 25, 1916, in Cincinnati. A resident for five years, he was a retired supervisor in the aviation industry and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; one daughter, Jill Niehoff of Las Vegas; and one sister, Lorraine Langenbahn of Ohio.

He is survived by one daughter, Electra Smith; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde; one daughter, Brenda Clodfelter of Las Vegas; one son, David Wagner of Pahrump; three stepdaughters, Robin Mills and Christina Russell, both of Las Vegas, and Wendy Russell of Manahawin, N.J.; one brother, Thomas Sherrod of San Francisco; and six grandchildren.

Peter E. Taylor, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 22, 1918, in Maplewood, Mo. A resident for two years, he was a member of the Maplewood Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Zelda; two daughters, Sheila Betz of Las Vegas and Terry Kienig of St. Louis; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Eric W. Whitby, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 29, 1921, in Ireland. A resident for 14 years, he was a painter and a member of the Canadian Legion in California.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes; one son, Eric Whitby Jr. of Sandy Valley; one brother, Gordon Whitby, and one sister, Jean Kelly, both of California; and one grandchild.
