Howard O. Aberman
Howard O. Aberman, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 23, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired consultant for a mechanical engineering firm and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie; two daughters, Eileen Wells of St. Paul, Minn., and Myra Campa of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; one son, Dr. Harold Aberman of Long Beach, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 4220 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite 112, Las Vegas 89119.
Roger John Boudnik
Roger John Boudnik, 59, of Las Vegas died Aug. 23 in Las Vegas. He was born June 10, 1940, in Kewaunee, Wis. A resident for four years, he was a security officer at a trucking company.
He is survived by two daughters, Kelly J. LeCompte of Brick, N.J., and Lisa Burnett of Brussels, Wis.; one son, Lance Boudnik of Green Bay, Wis.; one brother, Donald J. Boudnik of Las Vegas; two sisters, Paula Zirbel and Marla Boudnik, both of Green Bay; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Graveside services will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Philip Koch
Philip Koch, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Mount Charleston. He was born Oct. 18, 1938, in Minnesota. A resident for 23 years, he was a senior technologist for an engineering firm, a member of the Las Vegas Astronomical Society and a volunteer at the Red Rock Visitors Center.
He is survived by his wife, Sally; one son, Marc Koch, and one daughter, Cami O'Connor, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Irene Koch of Two Rivers, Wis.; three sisters, Milli Taddy of Two Rivers, Marcie Swilley of Menasha, Wis., and Sarah Petersen of Larson, Wis.; two brothers, Dan Koch of Newburgh, Ind., and Al Koch of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be noon until 1 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Friends of Red Rock, Judith Berkowitz, P.O. Box 97, Blue Diamond, NV 89004.
Clifton Van Morrell
Clifton Van Morrell, 54, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 11, 1945, in Salina, Utah. A resident for 35 years, he was a cook and a member of the Gay and Lesbian Foundation.
He is survived by his mother, Maggie Redding, one sister, Evan Smith, and one brother, Lynn Allred, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation will be one hour prior to 4 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
The family suggests donations to Aid for AIDS of Nevada, Sahara/Rancho Medical Center, 2300 Rancho Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89102.
Maryann Stears
Maryann Stears, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 7, 1947, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 16 years, she was an infant director for a child care provider.
She is survived by her husband, Norm; two sons, Sean Stears and Robert Stears Jr., and her parents, Eugene and Anna Cotter, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Liz and Christine, both of California; and one grandchild.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.
Beatriz A. Tacson
Beatriz A. Tacson, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for two months, she was born July 29, 1914, in the Philippines.
She is survived by six daughters, Epifania Fajardan of Stockton, Calif., Benigna Fernandez and Consorcia Ribu, both of Las Vegas, Francisca Laurado of the Philippines, Saturnina Carriaga of Hong Kong and Adelaida Revives of Manteca, Calif.; two sons, Rudolfo Tacson and Loreto Tacson, both of Manteca; one sister, Margarita Aquino of Stockton, Calif.; 32 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. services Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Terri Imogene Youngmeyer
Terri Imogene Youngmeyer, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 20, 1923, in Flat River, Mo. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired real estate broker, a life member and founder of the Social Register of Las Vegas, a life member of the Navy League and a member of Las Vegas Country Club, National Federation of Republican Women, Clark County Republican Central Committee and Nevada Federation of Republican Women.
She is survived by her husband, Earl W.
Visitation will be one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Opal K. Zug
Opal K. Zug, 89, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born March 7, 1910, in Wing, Ark. A resident for 59 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Iris Society.
She is survived by two daughters, Frances Wallace and Sue Vinassa, both of Las Vegas, James Zug of Wichita Falls, Texas; one sister, Inas Zug of Stockton, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in the First Christian Church, 101 S. Rancho Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
