Letter: All-out probe needed to solve riddle of Waco

Is this the same Janet Reno who before wanted to let the independent counsel law expire after the impeachment of her boss?

Of course, she will no doubt want the panel to be bipartisan. This way they can spend another $40 million of our tax money to find out that the cause of the fire was from incendiary rounds fired at the bunker next to the compound, and will draw no clear conclusion on who bears direct responsibility for the lie and coverup of the use of incendiary rounds or the use of Delta Force troops in the final assault.

If we are ever to learn the truth behind the Waco siege, then we need someone to head this investigation with the astute tenacity of Ken Starr.

But if "truth" is to be the end product of an independent investigation, then Reno will have every reason to want almost anybody to head the investigation but another Ken Starr.
