2ND RACE
Prime Timber - Promising colt returns to races since 4th in Kentucky Derby early May, swift solid works with pair of bullet drills from most recent trio of moves, in the quinella 6 of 7 lifetime starts with a trio of victories, need only be ready. Crows - Part of entry with Vasca Furia, solid runner-up effort with game run at a mile in last, 3rd in U.S. debut before that, pair of nice works since raced, Antley returns. Value Play -- Kona Wind
3RD RACE
Silver Axe - Made up 10 lengths while late for debut 2nd in last, maintenance drill since raced, draws better post, Desormeaux returns on Cerin trainee, won't be 24-to-1 odds here, served warning in last. On Time Airline - Three wide and best-of-the-rest distant debut 3rd in last, another that stretches out for second outing, McCarron stays on Gaines trainee, must overcome outside post here. 4TH RACE
Concurrent - No rally in comeback off a year layoff in last, broke maiden sprinting at first asking four races back, makes significant drop in class now, adds blinkers, Black stays for money run. Colonel Kelly - Dueled lead and 3rd while claimed at this distance in last, set pace and runner-up in comeback to races at longer sprint before that, reunites with hustling Pedroza for new connections, a factor throughout. Value Play -- Air Band
5TH RACE
Strike The Cash - First-time starter by Mr. Prospector offspring, solid worktab with bullet drill at Hollypark 6/28, well placed and good post, trainer Dominguez tabs hard riding Vergara for debut. Lots Of Chrome - Just missed when 2nd by a nose after stumbling at the start in last, runner-up before that, hustling Pedroza returns on Zucker trainee, needs clear trip from rail post. Trophy Wife - Four-wide rally and drew away to win over this course off 2-month layoff in last, runner-up on Hollypark lawn before that, troubled close 3rd in U.S. debut three races back, draws rail post and McCarron returns on Drysdale trainee for repeat try. Zante - Four-wide rally and second best off 7-week layoff over this course in last, in the quinella 4 of 9 lifetime starts with a pair of victories, Desormeaux returns on Frankel-trained beaten favorite, should make late impact. Value Play -- Penne
7TH RACE
National Saint - Tracked and wore down foe to win off 7-week layoff in last, in the quinella 5 of 9 lifetime starts with a trio of victories, steady series of works since raced, draws good rail post, Antley returns on Baffert trainee. Mr. Broad Blade - Returns to races with steady works, promising son of Broad Brush has yet to produce his best, has pair of victories from most recent 5 starts, McCarron returns on Mitchell trainee, layoff may produce focused colt now. Value Play -- Sun Bull
8TH RACE
Sri Lanka - Made three-wide bid, got lead and outkicked to 3rd with much improved effort in last, solid 3rd of 36-on-the-day drill since raced, Gomez sticks with her, must deal with outside post. Landau - Squeezed at the start and rallied for fast-closing debut runner-up late-June in last, solid steady works since raced, takes blinkers off here, must overcome extreme outside post here. Value Play -- Blue Eyed K.C.
