The third annual Nevada Gaming Executive Team Golf Championship to benefit the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling is scheduled for Monday at the Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson.
All proceeds from the tournament are donated to the non-profit organization that helps treat and educate Nevadans about problem gambling.
Carol O'Hare, executive director of the Nevada Council, said calls to the 24-hour Problem Gamblers Helpline have more than doubled this year from 1998, in part due to problem gambling awareness and education programs.
The entry fee for the event is $1,400 for a four-person team. Individuals or teams can contact Dennis Conrad, tournament director, at 775 329-7864 for more details.
