LAKE MEAD: Fishing conditions are now ideal with the lake's water temperature in the low 70s and nearly perfect fall weather. The only problem is that the striped bass aren't cooperating.
During the past week shore anglers and boaters have had inconsistent results for stripers. About the only success is being found by boaters who are trolling deep or drifting baits.
LAKE MOHAVE: The lake's water level has been drawn down to make repairs to a boat ramp at Katherine Landing. This has made for difficult boating and fishing conditions.
Poor fishing was found for rainbow trout following last week's plant at Willow Beach.
