StumbleFire at Sagebrush Ranch brothel east of Carson

The fire created a plume of black smoke visible for several miles. No injuries were reported. Prostitutes at the brothel were moved to the nearby Kit Kat and Kitty's bordellos.
Firefighters were hindered because there were no nearby hydrants, and had to rely on water supplied by their own trucks and tankers.
The brothel was constructed of several prefabricated units linked together. There was no immediate word on cause of the blaze, although there were unconfirmed reports that it started in a back room.
Units from Lyon County, where the brothel is located, and from Carson City responded to the fire.
