Shooting suspect pleads innocent

A Las Vegas man is scheduled to go to trial July 3 after pleading innocent to an attempted murder charge. Donte Johnson faces the charge in connection with a May 1998 shooting.
Derrick Simpson, 41, of Las Vegas, was left paralyzed after being shot in the face and back.
Johnson, 19, is also accused in the slaying of four men in August of 1998. He is set to go to trial on those charges in January.
