Jose Cruz Benavidez

Jose Cruz Benavidez, 35, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 8, 1964, in Arizona. A resident for 30 years, he worked in the financial industry.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two sons, Jose Benavidez and Rosario Benavidez, two daughters, Marie Benavidez and Sherree Benavidez, and his parents, Silverio and Delores Benavidez, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Paul Benavidez of Las Vegas and Billy Benavidez of Tucson, Ariz., and two sisters, Donna Zelada of Las Vegas and Joby Lopez of Tucson.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Neighborhood Church, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. in Boulder City Cemetery.

Florence R. Blank

Florence R. Blank, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born May 3, 1922, in Chicago. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired bank supervisor.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond; one daughter, Deborah Blank-Chor of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two sons, Dean R. Blank and Duane Blank, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Harry Mudra of Chicago; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Nov. 6 in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Chase Matthew Brown, 2 1/2 months died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 9, 1999, in Henderson.

He is survived by his mother, Cheryl M. Peterson, and his father, Clint Curtis, and his grandparents, Rodney and Catherine Curtis, all of Henderson.

Visitation is scheduled 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will follow at 11 a.m. in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Mary Agnes Buskirk

Mary Agnes Buskirk, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 25, 1917, in Watertown, N.Y. A resident for five years, she was a beauty salon owner-operator.

She is survived by one son, Ernest Perl Buskirk of Las Vegas; three brothers, Edwin Schneider of Rochester, N.Y., Everett Schneider of Camano Island, Wash., and Leland Schneider of Ludlow, Mass.; and one grandchild.

Neva L. Casaletti

Neva L. Casaletti, 84, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1915, in Moapa. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired controller.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda S. Whitmore of Henderson; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Katherine Collins, 75, of Las Vegas died Sept. 22 in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born June 4, 1924.

Nancy L. Dyckma, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 7, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Richard P.; two daughters, Diane Glenn of Wellington, Fla., and Susan Lee of Simi Valley, Calif.; two sons, Craig Dyckma of Garden Valley, Calif., and George Dyckma of Las Vegas; two sisters, LaVerne McCarthy and Donna Czupryn, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Suzanne Ellis, 38, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born April 10, 1961, in Texarkana, Ark. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her mother, Lola Ellis of North Las Vegas; and her father, David Nash of Texarkana.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in New Bethel Baptist Church, 400 W. Adams Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Elizabeth June Emigh

Elizabeth June Emigh, 73, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born June 1, 1926, in Bern, Kan. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired insurance agent and bookkeeper, an employee of the Clark County Housing Authority, a member of Chapter R of the PEO Sisterhood, Black Mountain Golf and Country Club Ladies Association.

She is survived by her husband, E. Neil; one daughter, Karen Emigh-Wolf of Henderson; one son, Michael Emigh of Fresno, Calif.; two sisters, Evelyn Robinson of Sabetha, Kan., and Joann Luthi of Madison, Kan.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Kay Evelyn Kehoe Goulette, 49, of Hiko died Saturday in Lincoln. She was born May 16, 1950, in Illinois. A resident for 37 years, she was disabled.

She is survived by her husband, Evan; her parents, Edward and Evelyn Kehoe, and one sister, Frances Kehoe, all of Pahrump; and two brothers, Dennis Kehoe and Buddy Kehoe, both of Henderson.

Services will be 12:45 p.m. Friday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Ford Hall

Ford Hall, 73, of Henderson died Sept. 22 in Henderson. A security guard, he was born July 5, 1926.

He is survived by one daughter, Dawn Hall of Kentucky; and one sister, Beulah Manning of Ohio.

Robert Dale Hibbard

Robert Dale Hibbard, 51, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 23, 1948, in Maine. A resident for 15 years, he was a railroad ticket clerk.

He is survived by his companion, David Cameron of Las Vegas; his mother, Jane Lancaster of Maryland; and three sisters, Pam, Clarence and Kathy.

Walter J. Hollingsworth

Walter J. Hollingsworth, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 7, 1922, in Reno. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired slot machine manager who had worked in the gaming industry for 32 years and a World War II Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Harvey; and one sister, Margaret.

He is survived by his wife, Joan L.; one daughter, Marcie A. Hollingsworth of Las Vegas; two sons, Robert Hollingsworth of Lincoln City, Ore., and Walter J. Hollingsworth Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one sister, Edna J. Lane of St. Augustine, Fla.; one brother, Lawrence E. Hollingsworth of Reno; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Dorothy O. 'Pat' Johnson

Dorothy O. 'Pat' Johnson, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Dade City, Fla. A resident for 32 years, she was a retired school bus driver and a member of the Girls and Boys Softball Bobbie Socks team.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey; two daughters, Linda Hocker and Cathy Johnson, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Cary Johnson of Las Vegas and Kenny Johnson of Henderson; one brother, Robert Matlock of Tennessee; three sisters, Shirley Miller of Las Vegas, Katie Garvin of Tennessee and Sahara Nunn of Alabama; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Richard J. Kabbush

Richard J. Kabbush, 62, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 19, 1936, in Michigan. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired casino manager and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbi; three sons, Richard, Michael and Jerry, and five daughters, Camille Hoppes, Cynthia Lockleer, Carol Lodding, Cathryn Parker and Sabrina Babcock, all of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

Alexander Joseph Kapelinski

Alexander Joseph Kapelinski, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Illinois. A resident for nine years, he was a tool designer for General Motors and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Kenneth of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Alan of Orlando Park, Ill.; one daughter, Audrey Kapelinski of Irvine, Calif.; four brothers, John of Hamilton, Ohio, Edward of Oaklawn, Ill., Lawrence of Chicago Ridge, Ill., and Richard of Palos Hills, Ill.; one sister, Eleanor Bishop of Valparaiso, Ind.; and six grandchildren.

Edward A. Kelemen Jr.

Edward A. Kelemen Jr., 43, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 16, 1956, in Philadelphia. A resident for 27 years, he was a convention center porter and a member of the Culinary Union.

He is survived by his parents, Alberta Lorraine and Robert Littlemeyer of Santee, Calif.; two sisters, Sandy Kelemen of Las Vegas and Terri Johnston of San Diego; and one brother, Carl Kelemen of Las Vegas.

Michael E. Murray, 45, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 17, 1954, in New York City. A resident for several months, he was a designer/builder of plastic molds and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Karen D.; two sons, Michael E. Murray Jr. and Sean Murray, one daughter, Heather H. Murray, and one stepdaughter, Lauren, all of New Jersey; his mother, Frances Murray, and one sister, Sheila Garrison, both of Nevada.

Theresa Nelson, 93, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 1, 1906, in Chicago. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

William Lawson Renegar II, 9 days, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 14, 1999, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his parents, William and Deidre Renegar, two sisters, Kristine Maxcoli and Jennifer Mascoli, and two brothers, Nicholas Mascoli and Joseph Mascoli, all of Las Vegas; his grandparents, Barbara and George Halvas of New York; and his great-grandparents, Mary and Robert Smyth of New York City.

Donald Lee Roy

Donald Lee Roy, 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born Jan. 15, 1934, in Oklahoma City. A new resident, he was a retired Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; one son, Robert James Roy; one daughter, Kiecia Terez Focht; four brothers, Jimmy, Gene, Larry and Ronnie; four sisters, Shirley McAlister, Juanita Brown, Judy Kirby and Beverly Belyeu; and two grandchildren.

Johnnie Shaw

Johnnie Shaw, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 16, 1919, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 46 years, he was a laborer in the construction industry.

He is survived by one son, Eugene Shaw, and one daughter, Ruby Smith, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Willie Shaw of Lake Providence, La.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Paul Smith, 60, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 2, 1939, in Washington, Pa. A resident for 19 years, he was a federal government security controller and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene; three daughters, Amy Boyd and Lisa McGowan, both of Las Vegas, and Paula Reidelbach of Glendale, Ariz.; one brother, Sonny Smith of Washington; and 12 grandchildren.

Myrtle Snow

Myrtle Snow, 89, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 26, 1910, in Independence, Kan. A lifelong resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Clarence Woolman of Pahrump; one daughter, Beulah Kidney of Texas; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Thursday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Charlotte Swedlund, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 23, 1914, in Red Oak, Iowa. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired teacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Russell of Las Vegas; and one son, Harry Swedlund of Columbia, La.

Mary Lucille Travis, 67, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 28, 1932, in Newellton, La. A resident for 44 years, she was a retired hotel worker and member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by one daughter, Elaine Washington of Las Vegas; three sons, Jack Travis of New York City and Sam Travis Jr. and Gregory Travis, all of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation continues until 5 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Full Gospel Temple, 817 Carey Ave., North Las Vegas. Graveside services will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Thomas Gerard Watts, 45, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 5, 1954, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for 20 years, he was a casino supervisor at the Riviera for more than 15 years.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; one son, Joseph Watts, and one daughter, Brittnee Watts, both of Las Vegas; his father, Joseph Watts of New Jersey; and one sister, Debby Denull of New York.

Visitation is scheduled 3-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11:45 a.m. Thursday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Leonard Lee Woodrum

Leonard Lee Woodrum, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 2, 1916, in West Virginia. A resident for 53 years, he was a PBX repairman for Central Telephone Co. for more than 40 years, an Army veteran, a member of the Eagles and the National Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He is survived by two sons, Rodny Lee Woodrum and Steven Wayne Woodrum; three daughters, Mignon Frostick, Sarita Rae Woodrum and Cindy Woodrum; one brother, Ralph Woodrum; one sister, Irene McBride; and one grandchild, Joshua Woodrum.
