Letter: Latest earthquake evidence that Yucca no place for nukes

In the same article the government says that it assumed the Lavic Lake fault was no longer an active fault, but it was -- a 7.1 active fault. It goes on to say that the faults along Yucca Mountain are inactive. What? Can you hear what is being said here, Nevada? The government thinks we are that gullible.

Mother Earth is shifting and stretching all the time like any old woman, and there are no promises anyone can make you that that fault won't go, too. Even the site itself is only being designed to withstand a 7.0 earthquake. The recent earthquake was a 7.1. I don't have to be a scientist or expert to read the contradiction in the newspaper reports to know that something is wrong here. Let your voices be heard before something else goes terribly, terribly wrong.
