Soon-to-be ex-senator not interested in federal judgeship

Bryan, D-Nev., says a federal judgeship would be too confining, despite the salary of $136,700 a year.
Federal judges often reduce their social contacts with attorneys after taking the bench, being careful to avoid appearances of conflicts of interest.
"I don't have the temperament, I would not be interested," Bryan said. But he adds he'll still be looking for a job because "I don't want to be a deadbeat grandfather."
