Revised scores takes schools out of danger

Revised scores from the testing company show scores for Glenn Duncan and Smithridge elementary schools were higher than reported earlier this year.
CTB/McGraw-Hill's mistakes in calibrating test scores for the schools landed them on the state's list of schools needing improvement.
Nevada schools with more than 40 percent of students scoring in the bottom quarter in the four core subject areas make the list.
CTB/McGraw-Hill officials said none of the answer sheets was scored wrong, but errors occurred when raw data was converted into percentile rankings.
The company provided incorrect scores to other schools, both in and outside Nevada.
