JACKSON, Miss. -- The first paid executive director of the Mississippi Gaming Association is resigning to take a job with his college fraternity.
Ernie Stebbins, 47, who joined the association two years ago, is taking a job as executive director of Phi Kappa Psi, a college fraternity with more than 85 undergraduate chapters across the nation.
In the two years since he became executive director of the Gaming Association, Stebbins said the growth of the state's casino industry has led to more economic prosperity in Mississippi.
