Letter: Woman stood firm against tactics by homeowners group

Good for Carol Rogers, who had been stalked, threatened and almost forced into bankruptcy due to the extensive fining brought upon her by her board of directors and its attorney. As a result of depleted funds, it was necessary for Carol to pursue all on her own. Pursue she did, taking her case all the way to the federal courts. Carol was bucking big business -- that being the Del Webb Community, Del Webb Corp. and the Sun City Association.
It was time for Big Brother to be brought to task. No innocent individual should have to suffer because of unfair politics and be made to be the bad one when he/she is the one being wronged, even when big corporations are the intimidators.
There are so many association owners who are still suffering via the hands of power-hungry boards of directors, lawyers and even managers. In the last three years I have spoken to hundreds of abused owners. It took a Carol Rogers, who had the tenacity and perseverance to attempt to have justice served and do so publicly.
