Longtime local Bank of America spokesman Paul Stowell has left the company, a bank official said.
Stowell, who has been with Bank of America for 13 years, left the company Thursday. Contacted today, Stowell had no comment about the move, but said he is pursuing other options in Las Vegas.
Bank officials would not say if Stowell's removal was a part of corporate downsizing in the wake of the company's merger with Nationsbank or if he would be replaced.
Nationsbank announced the $48.7 billion acquisition of Bank of America last year and completed most of its transition in Nevada in July. The merged companies adopted the Bank of America name and moved corporate headquarters from San Francisco to Nationsbank's home base in Charlotte, N.C.
