Damien Lars Aragon

Damien Lars Aragon, 19, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 26, 1980, in Henderson. A lifelong resident, he was a food server and a member of the Culinary Union.

He is survived by one daughter, Alicia Alexxis Aragon, his fiancee, Monet Le Bron, and his mother, Roselie Aragon, all of Las Vegas; his father, Mike Aragon of Safford, Ariz.; three sisters, Stefoni Aragon-Wallace and Tasha Aragon, both of Las Vegas, and Tanya Aragon of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two brothers, Joshua Fletchall of Las Vegas and Mike Aragon Jr. of Safford; his grandmother, Patsy Roebuck-Carter, and his great-grandmother, Wilma Maucione, both of Intercession City, Fla.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Dr. Chester Chin

Dr. Chester Chin, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born June 25, 1920, in China. A resident for 31 years, he was a physician, a World War II Army veteran, past president of Homeopathy Physicians Association, Acupuncture Association and the Chinese Benevolent Association and a board member of Oriental Medical Board.

He is survived by his wife, Lily; one daughter, Jennifer Kwok of Las Vegas; three sons, Thomas Wong and Jeffrey Wong, both of Las Vegas, and Dickson Chan of Vancouver, British Columbia; one sister, Yuet-Ming Chan of Phoenix; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

The family suggests donations to the Chinese American Benevolent Association.

Warren Elmore Dominguez Jr.

Warren Elmore Dominguez Jr., 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born April 9, 1938, in Louisiana. A resident for 30 years, he was a dealer at the Desert Inn.

He is survived by three sons, Ricky Dominguez and Rory Dominguez, both of Cushing, Okla., and Randy Dominguez of Tulsa, Okla.; one brother, Dave Dominguez of New Orleans; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.

Marlene Ann Farrell

Marlene Ann Farrell, 64, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born April 16, 1935, in California. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin Farrell of Las Vegas and K.R. Farrell of Mission Viejo, Calif.; her mother, Monica Bullinger of Montebello, Calif.; three daughters, Karen Finken and Kimberly Farrell, both of Las Vegas, and Kristine Farrell of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; one sister, Carol Davis of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

John Gerald Furman

John Gerald Furman, 80, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. He was born July 16, 1919, in Youngstown, Ohio. A resident for 10 years, he was vice president and manager of the Los Angeles Trust Department of Lloyds Bank and a World War II Army captain.

He is survived by his wife, Marian V.; one daughter, Veneta Masson of Washington, D.C.; one son, John Furman of Henderson; three brothers, Louis Furman of Michigan, Frank Furman of Arizona and Edward Furman of Ohio; three sisters, Helen Hayre of Las Vegas and Ruth Furman and Beatrice Gallup, both of California; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

George Gale

George Gale, 70, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 5, 1929, in Oregon City, Ore. A resident for four years, he was a retired Air Force airman second class, a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Claudine; two daughters, Stephanie Bishop of Henderson and Victoria Stafford of Iowa City, Iowa; four sons, George Richard Gale of Loxley, Ala., Robert M. Gale of Cedar City, Utah, James Douglas Gale of Iowa City and David Allen Gale of Henderson; one sister, Christine Switzer of Milwaukee; and 13 grandchildren.

Denisse Garcia

Denisse Garcia, 15 days, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 1, 1999, in North Las Vegas.

She is survived by her mother, Marina Garcia of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Reynalda Hernandez and Rodolfo Garcia, both of Mexico.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Toshiyuki 'George' Goto

Toshiyuki "George" Goto, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 24, 1922, in Huntington Beach, Calif. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a landscaping business, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Japanese American Citizens League.

He is survived by his wife, Chiyo; one son, Von Goto of Las Vegas; one daughter, Colleen Goto-Nettel of Santa Ana, Calif.; one sister, Masae Nomura of Montebello, Calif.; one brother, Ray Goto of Culver City, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

Agnesjay T. Haigler

Agnesjay T. Haigler, 83, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 24, 1916, in Avery, Idaho. A resident for 16 years, she was a retired government accountant/secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Haigler of Las Vegas.

Malee Jurgens

Malee Jurgens, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 23, 1943, in Bangkok, Thailand. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney J.; two daughters, Benjawan Swan and Suzanne Jurgens, and one son, Steven Jurgens, all of Las Vegas; seven brothers and sisters, all of Thailand; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Mary H. King

Mary H. King, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 27, 1914, in Marysville, Kan. A resident for four years, she was a retired duplicating operator for the federal government.

She is survived by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jon H. Larsen

Jon H. Larsen, 38, of Henderson died Sunday. He was born May 17, 1961, in Seattle. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired moving technician.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy; one daughter, Brittany Larsen, and one son, Brendan Larsen, both of Henderson; his parents, Harold and Roberta Larsen, and two sisters, Rolinda Wisham and Joni Larsen, all of Las Vegas.

John Regis Loper

John Regis Loper, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 9, 1932, in Mount Pleasant, Pa. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired operating engineer, a Korean War Army veteran, a member of the American Legion and Operating Engineers Local 12.

He is survived by his wife, Ny Thi; three daughters, Thanh Kieu Nguyen of Los Angeles and Le Anh Eigenman and Valerie Loper, both of Las Vegas; one son, Phoung Duc Nguyen, and one brother, Edward Loper, both of Las Vegas.

Richard L. McGough Sr.

Richard L. McGough Sr., 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 28, 1929, in Sumner, Ill. A resident for 28 years, he was retired city government employee for 10 years, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a longtime member of the Golden Tappers dance club and a member of the Boy Scouts.

He is survived by five sons, Richard McGough Jr., Roger McGough, Michael McGough and Bart McGough, all of Las Vegas, and Bret McGough of Vallejo, Calif.; one brother, Charles McGough of Commerce, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church Academy, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Maxine V. Pilkington, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 18, 1913, in Logansport, Ind. A resident for three years, she was a retired bank secretary, a member of the National Secretaries and Elks.

She is survived by one daughter, Lynda E. Perras of Lincoln City, Ore.; two sons, William A. Pilkington of Las Vegas and Michael A. Pilkington of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Pearl Haslam and Evelyn Stevenson, and one brother, Robert McMillin, all of Tucson; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

David Jackson Pope

David Jackson Pope, 56, of Las Vegas died Oct. 12 in a local hospice. He was born July 9, 1943, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was an electrician and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Stacy Treat and Shelly Crook, and one son, Daniel Haugen, all of Henderson; his father, Benjamin F. Coburn of Oklahoma; and four grandchildren.

Helen K. 'Granny' Price

Helen K. "Granny" Price, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 2, 1921, in Fort Smith, Ark. A resident for three years, she was a retired federal government purchasing agent.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon R. Mura of Leavenworth, Kan., and Rosemarie G. Price; 10 grandchildren including five custodial grandchildren, Tamara K. Flangas of Las Vegas, Pamela G. Robinson of Lawrence, Kan., Sherril Selas and Leigh Ann Jacobsen, both of Farmington, Minn., and Lawrence L.M. Sens of Brownsville, Texas; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Gene Ogden of San Francisco and Derek Flores of Salt Lake City; one daughter, Tammie Flores of Reno; her mother, Louise Showacy of Boulder City; one brother, Frank Robinson, and two sisters, Peggy Schomer and La Rita Gordin, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Myrna Digioia of Las Vegas; her father, Masatoshi Sakazaki of Hawaii; one sister, Koari Sakazaki of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Chachi Sakazaki of Las Vegas and Jaime Jeldes of Long Beach, Calif.

Stewart Jr. of Hong Kong and Douglas Stewart of Las Vegas; two brothers, Willie Robinson and Eugene Jackson, both of Columbus, Ga.; and 16 grandchildren.

Deward Tewalt Sr.

Deward Tewalt Sr., 96, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 12, 1903, in Indiana. A resident for 55 years, he was a hotel-casino operating engineer, a member of Operating Engineers Local 501 and a member of the Masons in Boulder City.

He is survived by one daughter, June Pashos of Las Vegas; one son, Deward James Tewalt Jr. of Texas; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
