"To have 'Mr. Las Vegas' on our showroom stage is an exciting and prestigious way to enter the new century," said William S. Boyd, chairman of Boyd Gaming Corporation, the Stardust's parent company.
Other stars announced previously include Barbra Streisand at the MGM Grand, Rod Stewart at the Rio and Bette Midler at Mandalay Bay.
Caesars Palace will feature Elton John and Tina Turner performing for VIP guests on New Year's Eve, one night after their concert at the Thomas & Mack Center. Caesars' showroom will feature Hall and Oates on New Year's Eve. Celine Dion will perform for VIP guests at Caesars on Jan. 1.
