Title company fined for kickbacks

LOS ANGELES -- First American Title Co. agreed to pay $2.5 million and limit its marketing activities to settle allegations that it provided illegal kickbacks, including cash, computers and free Las Vegas vacations, to real estate agents in return for business referrals, state regulators said Thursday.
