Letter: Cross country deserves ink

Although both papers in town have improved their coverage of cross country, I still feel the coverage is inadequate. Also, the coverage could be a little more balanced in comparison to other prep sports.
May I remind you that cross country is the only prep sport that has a national championship? Furthermore, there are at least 2,000 runners in this town who would be interested in reading such articles.
Southern Nevada has the defending state champion, Basic High School; and the two individual champions, Cory Jeffers of Bonanza High School and Abbie Miller from Green Valley High.
Hopefully, our area newspapers can do a better job in covering our children who represent us in cross country.
