Value Play -- Purely Excessive
2nd Race -- Purely Cozzene - Stalked pace and faded to 4th while splitting the field in mile grass outing at Del Mar in last, 4th sprinting before that, broke maiden in debut three races back, Antley/Baffert team, fits here. It's All Instinct - Broke maiden first time in claimer in fourth career start in last, sharp works with most recent bullet drill on the 8th since raced, bred to like lawn, stretches out with good inside post, Flores returns. Value Play -- Nurdlinger
3rd Race -- Executive Chef - Stalked while 3-wide and faded late at the fair in last, won while claimed at higher level before that, in the quinella 6 of 9 Anita starts with a pair of wins and 8 of 13 at this distance with 5 victories, good post, gets the trip.Indomable - Dueled lead and outkicked when 3rd sprinting in last, veteran 7-year-old in the money 32 of 78 lifetime starts with 7 victories, 0-for-5 at this distance, but, P. Val. may be able to ration speed to be dangerous here. Value Play -- Poplar
4th Race -- Weinhard - Dueled lead from between horses and held 3rd in last, gate-to-wire maiden win at Del Mar before that, should roll from inside post here, Pincay stays, a factor throughout. Commanche Code - Chased winner and late 2nd in last, won sprinting at Del Mar three races back, in the quinella 5 of 9 lifetime starts, Solis takes over on Headley trainee, should sit pretty trip. Value Play -- Joya de Saros
5th Race -- Frankie Grande - Wide trip and outfinished at Fairplex in last, shut off and placed 5th through DQ before that, pair of recent works decent since last raced, dons blinkers for this, hustling Pedroza stays, good spot for maiden-breaker action. Hidefromthebride - Hid from everyone when distant 7th in last, set pace and weakened in debut at Ellis Park before that, drops to half price of last outing, Flores climbs aboard Baffert trainee, drops and respect connections not to ignore. Value Play -- True Victory
6th Race -- Hooten Harry - Set pace and weakened at the fair in last, stalked, made bid and second best at Del Mar before that, 4 of 13 lifetime victories at Anita, should be fowardly placed here, should get first run in this spot. King Strut - Stalked, led and outfinished when 3rd at the fair in last, most recent victory at Anita at this trip, both lifetime wins from 4 starts at this distance, rider retains mount from trainer Sadler here. Value Play -- Master Carson
7th Race -- Cyrillic - Passes Mile stakes this weekend for this spot, 3rd on good turf at Belmont Park in last, won on Del Mar sod before that, won U.S. debut at this trip and course in early April, winning rider Desormeaux returns on Frankel trainee.Lexa - Even U.S. debut when 4th on Del Mar lawn in last, boasts 4-for-9 record in France, nice works since raced, Delahoussaye takes over for vacant McCarron on Ellis trainee here, had race, beware. Value Play -- Golden Arches
8th Race -- Ledbetter Heights - No rally on turf in debut two races back, dropped to claimer and 5th on the main in last, drops again looking for a field to tumble, Desormeaux scales Drysdale trainee for a try, must overcome outside post.Papago - Another who drops to claiming ranks after three failed attempts, but, nice pair of 4th's at the fair in last two outings, dons blinkers for this encounter, changes made to enhance diploma return. Value Play -- Profit Center
