Samuel A. Borges
Samuel A. Borges, 83, of Boulder City died Tuesday in Boulder City. He was born March 5, 1916, in Cleveland. A resident for 17 years, he was a project specialist for Sherman Williams Paint Co., a member of Boulder City Gem Club, avid rock hound and taught lapidary classes in Boulder City.
He is survived by one daughter, Katharine Thompson of Los Angeles; one son, William Borges of Vancouver, British Columbia; one sister, Rose Barber of Florida; one brother, Ross of Ohio; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. today in Faith Christian Church, Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City. Burial will be in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Earleen Burns
Earleen Burns, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 2, 1924, in Masdon, Ark. A resident for 39 years, she was a hotel computer operator.
She is survived by her husband, Hazel; six daughters, Pauline Banks, Carolyn Redic, Olivia Jones and Leanetta Burns, all of Las Vegas, and Delores Burns and Blanch Walker, both of North Las Vegas; three brothers, Robert Partman of Warren, Ark., Columbus Partman of North Little Rock, Ark., and Colonvia Partman Jr. of Inglewood, Calif.; four sisters, Mattie Lee Partman and Myrtle Lee Partman, both of Hermitage, Ark., Olive Hendrix of Little Rock and Patsy Caraway of Hayward, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be noon Saturday in Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1189 Hassel Ave. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Shirleen P. Dolan
Shirleen P. Dolan, 35, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born April 18, 1964, in Springfield, Mass. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, James E.; three sons, Joshua M. Sheehan, Shawn Douglas Dolan and Joseph W. Dolan, all of North Las Vegas; two brothers, Michael Sheehan of Puerto Rico and William Sheehan of Arizona; three sisters, Sherry Johnson of Las Vegas and Kelly Sheehan and Melody Campbell, both of Massachusetts; and one stepbrother, Mark Campbell.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. services Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Petra L. Galindo
Petra L. Galindo, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born June 19, 1910, in Mexico. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Ema Gutierrez of Henderson; one sister, Josefa L. Molina of Mexico; one brother, Manuel Lozano of Los Angeles; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled at noon today in St. Rose Dominican Hospital chapel, 102 E. Lake Mead Drive, Henderson, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Carole M. Guerin
Carole M. Guerin, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 20, 1923, in California. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired commercial artist.
She is survived by three grandchildren.

John James Halloran
John James Halloran, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 5, 1943, in Wisconsin, Ill. A resident for seven years, he was an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by one sister, Janet Halloran of Big Bear Lake, Calif.; and one brother, Robert Lee Halloran Jr. of Swan Lake, Mont.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Stanley G. Hardin
Stanley G. Hardin, 67, of Pahrump died Monday in Pahrump. He was born Jan. 31, 1932, in San Luis Obispo, Calif. A resident for 15 years, he was a well driller.
He was preceded in death by one son, Rick Sagaser.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; and one brother, Walter Sagaser of California.
Stephen Michael Hathcock
Stephen Michael Hathcock, 52, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 27, 1947, in Stanley County, N.C. A resident for 17 years, he was a golf tournament coordinator for Binion's Horseshoe and the Maxim hotel-casinos, a Vietnam War Navy veteran and a golf and racing fan.
He is survived by his parents, Clyde and Betty Sue Hathcock of Matthews, N.C.; one brother, David Hathcock of South Boston, Mass.; and one sister, Sandra Hathcock of Sarasota, Fla.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.
Joseph C. Mastrosimone
Joseph C. Mastrosimone, 64, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Oct. 25, 1934, in Trenton, N.J. A resident for eight years, he was a retired parcel service driver.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; two sons, John C. Mastrosimone of Trenton and Joseph M. Mastrosimone of Newark, N.J.; one daughter, Deborah Cipolloni, two sisters, Vivian Muro and Christine Solack, and his mother, Margaret Mastrosimone, all of Trenton; and two grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Linda Buck Near
Linda Buck Near, 60, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 1, 1939, in Ohio. A resident for 15 years, she was a hotel-casino bookkeeper.
She is survived by her husband, Karl Jakob; one son, Charles Hiah of Iowa; her mother, Consula Buck, and one sister, Nancy Hindman, both of Ohio.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Albert D. Riley
Albert D. Riley, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 4, 1917, in Bloomington, Ill. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired employee of Reynolds Electrical and Engineering Co., an Army veteran, a member of the Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 0056.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; one son, Bill Riley of Danville, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
Maria Eva Sedano
Maria Eva Sedano, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 16, 1915, in Durango, Mexico. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Iram Sedano and Romeo Sedano, both of Las Vegas; four daughters, Mirna Gamboa, Eleasor Gamboa and Maria Teresa Rosette, all of Las Vegas, and Dora Porras of Phoenix; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will be in Durango.
Thomas H. Sheehan
Thomas H. Sheehan, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 26, 1920, in Alaska. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired freight line sea captain, a World War II veteran, a member of the Maritime Union and supported environmental groups.

Lola M. Simmons
Lola M. Simmons, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 3, 1925, in Enid, Okla. A resident for two months, she was a retired waitress and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Parker, Ariz.
She is survived by three daughters, Cheri and Teri, both of Las Vegas, and Linda of Idaho; four sons, Billy and Kenny, both of Las Vegas, and Scott and Mark, both of Arizona; one brother; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Gordon Lee Sipes
Gordon Lee Sipes, 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 26, 1937, in Illinois. A resident for three years, he was a buyer for a production company and a 101st Airborne Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; one son, Gordon Roy Sipes, and three daughters, Tammy Sipes, Terry Sipes and Tina Sipes, all of Illinois; and one brother, Frank Sipes of Phoenix.
Visitation is scheduled 5-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-noon Friday with 11 a.m. services in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Houston.
Janet Michelle Standley
Janet Michelle Standley, 42, of Las Vegas died Oct. 5 in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 5, 1957, in Nevada. A lifelong resident, she was a waitress.
She is survived by one daughter, Annie; her mother, Alice Henderson; one brother, Brian; and one grandchild.
Services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
