The Casino Management Association is holding two seminars in Las Vegas this month.
The first, to be held tonight, will cover Nevada Gaming Regulation 6A, which covers casino cash transactions, reporting requirements, prohibited transactions, record keeping and the reporting of suspicious activities. The seminar begins at 6 p.m. at the Community College of Southern Nevada's Cheyenne Campus, Room 2005. The speaker is Paul Larsen, partner in Las Vegas law firm Lionel Sawyer & Collins.
Another seminar is on the benefits of owned, leased and revenue participation slot machines. Speakers will cover the issues of leasing over buying machines, and the pros and cons of putting revenue-sharing machines on a slot floor. Speakers are Jeff Wille, vice president of Thalman Financial Services, and Steve Des Champs, chief financial officer of PDS Financial. The seminar is Oct. 19 at 9 a.m. at Las Vegas Conference Suites, Suite P100.
Registration for each seminar is $30 for CMA members and $60 for non-members, with a $5 additional walk-up fee. For information, call 895-9133.
