Nicks, Newton and The Who booked

Las Vegas hotel-casinos and promoters announced performances by legendary entertainers Stevie Nicks, Wayne Newton and The Who.

The House of Blues at Mandalay Bay said it booked Nicks for New Year's Eve. Tickets to see the Fleetwood Mac member go on sale Saturday for $175 and $225.

Separately, the Stardust hotel-casino said it booked Newton to perform one show New Year's Eve and two on New Year's Day. Tickets for the Millennium show are $275.

And Pixelon.com, an online broadcast network, said the rock group The Who will be reunited Oct. 29 at the MGM Grand hotel-casino.

Pixelon Inc., San Juan Capistrano, Calif., said The Who and other artists will perform at its iBash '99 -- a $10 million event launching the Internet company.
