Harrah's Entertainment Inc. of Las Vegas said it was named by InformationWeek magazine as one of the publication's "Top 500 Most Innovative Companies."
Harrah's is the only casino company to be included on this list of the "the nation's largest and most innovative users of IT."
"1999 has been a rewarding year for our IT team," said Harrah's Senior Vice President of Brand operations and Information Technology John Boushy. "This InformationWeek honor as well as our second place ranking in Computerworld's '100 Best Places to Work in IT' illustrates our commitment to technology as a corner-stone in our customer loyalty strategy. Our IT team has met many challenges to develop leading-edge technology for our customer relationship management system and our extensive patron database, as well as the industry's first and only national customer recognition program, Total Gold."
Harrah's was ranked by InformationWeek No. 335 overall.
