Cleo M. Barta

Cleo M. Barta, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 10, 1934, in Allentown, Pa. A resident for 37 years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by her husband, Robert F.; one son, Robert F. Barta II, and three daughters, Kathy Gaines, Mary Ann Barta and Lee Marie Seidick, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Jack Becker of California; one sister, Doreen Mackie of Henderson; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Martha O. Beck

Martha O. Beck, 87, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 18, 1912, in Murrayville, Ill. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet Hopper, and one stepson, Robert Beck, both of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be in Memory Gardens.

John Russell Booth

John Russell Booth, 38, of Las Vegas died Sept. 28 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 10, 1961, in Long Beach, Calif. A resident for four years, he was a project manager for a fire protection company and an Army veteran.

Frederick C. Buffey

Frederick C. Buffey, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 10, 1933, in Silver Springs, N.Y. A resident for five years, he was a retired general contractor for an insurance company, a Korean War Navy veteran, a member of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and a foster parent.

He is survived by one daughter, Carol Miller of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; one son, Craig Buffey of Anaheim, Calif.; one sister, Judy Irwin of Perry, N.Y.; one brother, Vernon Buffey, and his loving companion, Thelma Guevara, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Gail Burnley

Gail Burnley, 53, of Fairfield, Calif., died Saturday in a Fairfield hospital. She was born Nov. 27, 1945, in Terre Haute, Ind. A former Las Vegas resident for the past 12 years, she was an employee for Brockway Glass Co., opened Gail's Accessories in Richmond, Calif., went to barber school and practiced in Fairfield and Las Vegas.

She is survived by one daughter, Stormy Lee of Fairfield; her father and stepmother, Charles A. and Dolores Burnley II of Palmdale, Calif.; two sisters, Sharon Barrett of Detroit and Carol Denise Webb of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; two brothers, Charles A. Burnley III of Santa Clarita, Calif., and Damon Ronald Burnley of Pacoima, Calif.; two stepsisters, Lorraine Marshall of Huntington Park, Calif., and Sharon E. Males of Oakland; one stepbrother, Earl Belcarris of Silver Spring, Md.; and three grandchildren.

Margaret Lenore Butler

Margaret Lenore Butler, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 29, 1916, in California. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Rossiter of Las Vegas; two sons, Richard Butler and Michael Butler, and one brother, Edward Anderson, all of San Diego; and eight grandchildren.

Victor Covellone

Victor Covellone, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 10, 1923, in Providence, R.I. A resident for 27 years, he retired after 25 years as a Los Angeles police officer and was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Larry Covellone of Montebello, Calif.; one grandson, Michael Covellone of Fort Lewis, Wash.; and one granddaughter, April Covellone of Montebello.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Kim M. Cummings

Kim M. Cummings, 51, of Las Vegas died Sept. 28 in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 26, 1948, in New York. A resident for eight years, he was a lifeguard.

He is survived by his father, Kenneth Cummings, M.D.; and two sisters, Pamela Ann Francis and Lynne Maureen Haggett.

Wilfred B. Gamiao

Wilfred B. Gamiao, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 11, 1929, in the Philippines. A resident for one year, he was a retired baker.

He is survived by his wife, Felicidad; one daughter, Rowena Quibuyen of Hawaii; five sons, Rolly Gamiao of California, Romeo Gamiao of the Philippines and Ruben Gamiao, Ronald Gamiao and Wilfred Gamiao Jr., all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Inocencia Foronda and Damiana Quilang, both of the Philippines; three brothers, Amadeo Gamiao and Honorio Gamiao, both of Hawaii, and Amor Gamiao of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Judy L. Garcia

Judy I. Garcia, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born March 13, 1944, in Berkeley, Calif. A resident for seven years, she was an accounts receivable clerk for Sunrise Hospital for five years.

She is survived by one son, Troy A. Garcia, and her mother, Joyce Morgan, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Tula Brown of Las Vegas and Karelee Morgan of Portland, Ore.; one nephew; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Patsy J. George, 43, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 23, 1956, in Louisiana. A resident for many years, she was a sales representative.

She is survived by her husband, Carol.

Edith Louise Graham

Edith Louise Graham, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 10, 1935, in North Dakota. A resident for 35 years, she was a schoolteacher.

She is survived by four sons, David of Las Vegas, Michael Graham of Kansas City, Mo., James Graham of Carson City and Ralph B. McMillan of Lynwood, Wash.; her mother, Eva of Port Angeles, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

Robbie Jarvis

Robbie Jarvis, 29, of Australia died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 10, 1970, in Las Vegas. A former resident, he was a cameraman in the entertainment industry.

He is survived by his parents, Kerrie and Wane Jarvis of Australia; two sisters, Nicole Laider of Las Vegas and Tamara Jarvis of Australia; and his grandmother, Eileen Wright of Australia.

Services were scheduled at 3 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Charlene Jean Kiner

Charlene Jean Kiner, 63, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 20, 1936, in California. A resident for 16 years, she was self-employed in the cable television industry.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher E. Boyd of Las Vegas and Robert Boyd of Riverside, Calif.; two daughters, Lynn Garcia-Boyd of Spain and Terry Boyd of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Claire Knight, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 3, 1913, in England. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker.

Robert W. Lee Jr.

Robert W. Lee Jr., 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 21, 1943, in Chicago. A resident for 14 years, he was a taxicab driver and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He is survived by two daughters, Sylvia J. Lee of Las Vegas and Laura M. Krzyzanowski of Villa Park, Ill.; three sons, Lawrence E. Lee of Las Vegas and Thomas R. Lee and Robert L. Lee, both of Streamwood, Ill.; his father, Robert W. Lee Sr. of River Grove, Ill.; one sister, Frances K. Matheu of Princeton, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Ronnie Dee Massey, 28, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 21, 1970, in Texas. A longtime resident, he was a refrigerator repairman.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Wilson; and his parents, Truett and Kathy James Massey of Texas.

Shelia Naiditch, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 23, 1930, in New York City. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired accountant in the apparel industry.

She is survived by her husband, Louis; two sons, Harry Helfman of Las Vegas and Benjamin Helfman of Redlands, Calif.; one brother, Hal Kaye of Miami Beach; one sister, Aileen Haber of Sarasota, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Richard Schoemann, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 17, 1928, in New York City. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired medical supply salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; three daughters, Susan Rosenstein and Laurie Schoemann, both of Los Angeles, and Robin Aronson of Woodland Hills, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Sidney L. Shapiro

Sidney L. Shapiro, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 22, 1924, in Ohio. A resident for 10 years, he was an administrator for the city of Beverly Hills, Calif., a decorated World War II and Korean War Army veteran, a champion bowler, master wordsmith and musician.

He is survived by one sister, Nitza Niemann; one nephew, Michael Niemann; and one niece, Adda Shur Jaffe.

Kenton J. Silva

Kenton J. Silva, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 31, 1924, in Massachusetts. A resident for 18 years, he was a maintenance mechanic in the manufacturing industry and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three sons, Kenton J. Silva Jr. of New York state, Randall Silva of Virginia and John Silva of Henderson; one daughter, Christina Pereira of Las Vegas; three sisters, Frances Torres and Rose Davey, both of New Jersey, and Adelaide Silva of Massachusetts; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

J.C. Stingley

J.C. Stingley, 89, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born May 15, 1910, in Morton, Miss. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired janitor for a manufacturing company and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Stingley and Ruth Stingley, both of Las Vegas; two sons, James Stingley and Bailey LeRoy Willoughby, both of Henderson; two sisters, Annie Lee Stingley and Annie Mae Ficklin, both of Morton, Miss.; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 5 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Henderson.

Lambert Gray "Sonny" Vogel, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born April 30, 1922, in Ohio. A resident for 25 years, he was retired from the Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; one son, Michael Vogel, and one daughter, Kathy Vogel, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Joseph Vogel of Columbus, Ohio, and Tommy Vogel of Ashland, Ohio; and one sister, Mary Ann Mowry of Ashland.
