Police Chief Clair Morris said the second man was arrested without incident Monday afternoon in Santa Cruz, Calif.
He's identified as Jerry White, 19, of Warren, Ohio. He earlier was identified as Raymond Huffman, but police say he was using a fake ID.
The other man wanted in the crime, Michael Woomer, 22, of Warren, went to the Lander County sheriff's office in Battle Mountain for help Saturday evening after finding himself short of cash.
He was taken into custody without incident after deputies learned of his identity.
Arrest warrants were issued on open murder charges for Huffman and Woomer in Friday's death of Ramone Navarro. A new warrant then was issued naming White.
The victim, a cook at the Savary Restaurant in downtown Elko, was beaten by a baseball bat at his home.
Morris said Woomer has told investigators robbery was the motive in the case.
