ORLANDO, Fla. -- Financially beleaguered Planet Hollywood International Inc. plans to close nine restaurants around the nation and file for bankruptcy today. The Las Vegas Strip Planet Hollywood restaurant and its sister property on the Strip, the All-Star Cafe, are unaffected by the move.
Company officials say they're negotiating with certain landlords and potential franchisees about the future of some of its properties.
