The Resort at Summerlin switched its independent accounting firm to Arthur Andersen LLP from Ernst & Young LLP.
Chief Financial Officer John Tipton said the change was made after the resort's parent company, Swiss Casino Holdings AG, selected Andersen from among four auditing firms that had bid on a new contract.
There were no disagreements with Ernst & Young over the company's financial disclosures, according to a report filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission.
Tipton said business at the Las Vegas resort, which still isn't completely open, has improved recently. Construction on the 257-room Regent Grand Palms, one of two hotels at the site, and the resort's spa should be completed by the end of the month, he said.
All other facilities at the upscale golf-and-gambling resort at Summerlin Parkway and Rampart Boulevard are open for business.
