Letter: Instead of making demands, Koreans should apologize
Friday, Oct. 8, 1999 | 9:12 a.m.
The gall of the Korean people to ask, or demand, an accounting for some of their people being killed at the beginning of the Korean War! The war that killed over 30,000 GIs, who were there to save the Korean people!
They should be thanking us rather than demanding apologies. To hell with those who are doing the demanding.
Let's demand they pay us the millions they owe and to pay the survivors of those brave GIs who lost their lives in the Korean War.
It's things like that that make me feel strongly that we should stop going into other countries to save them from themselves. Remember after World War II it was: "Americans Go Home."
Now I say: Americans Stay Home! How long will it be before the Kosovars demand we pay them for their war and blaming us for their problems?
