Homeowners’ associations sue over roofs

Six Las Vegas homeowners' associations sued Del Webb Communities Inc., alleging construction defects in their residences in Sun City Summerlin.
"The damages are limited mainly to the roofs, which were leaking severely after the recent rains," said Roger Grant, the plaintiffs' attorney.
Cog Hill Lane Homeowners Association Inc. sued Del Webb, alleging defects in its 60 units at Cog Hill Lane in Sun City Summerlin. Big Green Lane Homeowners Association alleged defects in its 24 condominiums at Big Green Lane. Argents Hill Drive Homeowners Association alleged there were defects in 42 units at Argent Hill Drive, while Arbuckle Drive Homeowners Association alleged defects in its 48 units at Arbuckle Drive.
Lightning Ridge Drive Homeowners Association sued Del Webb, alleging defects in its 54 condominiums at January Drive, while Big Timber Drive Homeowners Association alleged defects in its 28 units at Big Timber Drive and Sundial Drive.
"We believe we build an above average product. We stand behind what we build," responded Sean Patrick, Del Webb Communities Inc.'s director of public relations.
