StumbleVegas council to be expanding

The Las Vegas City Council will soon be expanding.
Council members approved an ordinance Wednesday establishing new city ward boundaries that will add two new seats to the council.
The lines will divide the city into six wards instead of the current four. Voters in June approved a ballot referendum requiring the expansion.
The council is scheduled to appoint Ward 5 and Ward 6 representatives at its Oct. 20 meeting. The new boundaries take effect Jan. 1.
