Rio to display relics
Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999 | 12:06 p.m.
Artifacts salvaged from the Titanic are scheduled to go on display at the Rio hotel-casino Nov. 5.
The display is co-produced by SFX Family Entertainment and RMS Titanic, a company that holds salvage rights to the luxury liner that sank in 1912, killing 1,500 passengers.
Tickets for the display, which will feature gold coins, jewelry and other artifacts recovered over the past decade, will be $15.95 for adults and $9.95 for children.
The Titanic exhibit will be staged in the same area that Rio displayed the Treasures of Russia promotion featuring czarist artifacts.
