American Le Mans cars to race Nov. 7 at LVMS

Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host the American Le Mans Series season finale on Nov. 7 as part of a multi-year deal, the Speedway announced Tuesday.
Delays in track construction forced the San Diego Grand Prix Association and ALMS to move this season's final race to Las Vegas' 2.25-mile FIA-approved road course, which will encompass both the infield and tri-oval inside the facility's superspeedway.
The three-day racing weekend will include the Star Mazda Series/Best Western Championship, the Sports Toyota Championship, the Women's Global GT Series, and the American Le Mans Prototype, GTS and GT Series.
Practice for all series begins Friday, Nov. 5. Finals for the Star Mazda and Sports Toyota Championship will be held Saturday afternoon. The American Le Mans Series Grand Prix of Las Vegas will begin at noon on Sunday, Nov. 7. It will be followed by the Women's Global GT Series final.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway will honor all tickets already purchased for the San Diego event. Tickets for the American Le Mans Grand Prix of Las Vegas will go on sale in the LVMS ticket office on Friday.
