New hangar to be built at Henderson airport

Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999 | 11:15 a.m.

A hangar large enough to hold two small private planes will be built at Henderson Executive Airport.

Dan Dohrn, director of marketing for Nevada Building and Development Co., said his company has been selected by the Alper Limited Partnership to build the 4,800-square-foot hangar. The building will include a pilot lounge and a flight planning room and will be completed in early January.

Terms of the contract were not announced.

Alper, headed by Eliot Alper, sold the airport to the Clark County Department of Aviation last year and leases the land where the new hangar will be built. The hangar will be the first private facility built at the Henderson airport since Clark County acquired it.
