Nevada's general fund will get a bump as part of a settlement payment with Knoll Pharmaceutical Co.
More than $480,000 will be paid into the general fund after Knoll reached a $41.8 million settlement with 36 states over allegations that Knoll violated consumer protection laws in promoting the use of a drug to treat hyperthyroidism.
Nevada's total take in the settlement is $766,000, with $60,000 for legal fees, and $224,190 going into a special account to be used for future litigation.
