Stormy Jack - Powerful win in state-bred Del Mar stakes in last, hopped at the start and wide rally to break maiden in debut before that, nice pair of 6-panel works since, Antley again on Baffert trainee for three-peat. Royal Irish - Runner-up at a mile on Del Mar lawn in last, broke maiden sprinting before that, pair of bullet Golden Gate drills since raced, returns to southland for this, Delahoussaye returns here. Capote Sun - First-time starter by Capote, solid works with bullet drill over this track, nice most recent gate move on 9/20, good post and well placed, trainer Dollace tabs McCarron for debut. French Minister - Fist-time starter by French Deputy, another with solid worktab with a bullet Hollypark drill on 9/17, draws outside post, trainer Drysdale taps top jock Bailey for debut. 5TH RACE

Central Lobby - Stalked, made bid and outkicked when 2nd on Del Mar sod in last, reared at the start and 4th in needed outing before that, runner-up half of 6 starts this year, draws good rail post for this and is sitting on a victory. Daytime - Closed willingly and just missed when 2nd by a head in U.S. debut on Del Mar lawn in last, Britsh-bred in the quinella 4 of 6 starts in homeland with a victory, another like last puts this one in the picture here. Value Play -- Sea Bird Treasure

6TH RACE

Placing High - Set pace and caught late for close runner-up at the fair in last, off slow and rallied in debut before that, draws good post and Antley takes over now, High on maiden victory here. Driven Force - Ten-time maiden finished 3rd in last, second before that, last pair of outings best efforts to date, Pincay got the best from him and he returns here, needs a trip to get diploma from rail post. Call Me Soon - Broke maiden at first asking with game rail trip effort in last, trio of nice works since raced, McCarron takes over on Dollace trainee, in good spot to come right back with another win. Fiji - Finally makes long-awaited '99 start, going for Breeders' Cup berth and Eclipse Award beginning here, in the quinella 9 of 10 lifetime starts with 8 victories and all 6 starts over this course with 5 wins, 3-for-3 at this distance, trainer Drysdale has her ready, Bailey called in from East coast to ride. Tuzla - Got hard-fought photo-finish victory for new trainer Baffert in Grade I Ramona 'Cap in last, in the quinella 15 of 17 lifetime turf starts with 11 victories, 4-for-5 this year, Flores returns, will test top pick for gut check here. Anna's Star - Wide early from outside post, tracked and no late bid when 4th first time routing in last, adds blinkers now, makes third start of career, Almeida stays on Greenman trainee.
