After a two-year absence, the World Championship Outhouse Races are returning to Virginia City.
As many as 10 entries are expected to compete when the races get under way Saturday along a two-block section of C Street between the Bucket of Blood Saloon and the Delta Saloon.
Team members will push, pull, carry or throw the privy the length of the course in the historic mining town. There's no limit on the number or the size of the wheels attached.
Competitors include Boy Scout Troop 150 of Washoe Valley, the Eagles Dare girls' soccer team of Lake Tahoe, the Virginia City chamber of commerce, V&T Freight Depot, Yellow Jacket Paint Shop and - perhaps the favorite - Rick's Plumbing.
