Michael G. Adel, 43, of Las Vegas died Aug. 19 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 29, 1955, in Las Vegas. A resident for many years, he was a slot floorman.
Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.
Sandra Bartman
Sandra Bartman, 58, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 11, 1941, in Streator, Ill. A resident for 31 years, she was a nurse practitioner.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Bartman; and one son, Brent Bartman of Wichita, Kan.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Kim M. Cummings
Kim M. Cummings, 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 26, 1948, in New York. A resident for eight years, he was a county lifeguard and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his father, Kenneth Cummings of Maryland; and two sisters, Pamela Ann Francis and Lynne Maureen Haggett.

Charles Robert Eifert
Charles Robert Eifert, 57, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 11, 1942, in Missouri. A resident for six months, he was a property manager for a real estate company and a veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Christopher Eifert of Branson, Mo., and Greg Eifert of Seattle. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Laura C. Ellwanger
Laura C. Ellwanger, 98, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 6, 1901, in Butte, Mont. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by one son, Wallace Howard.
She is survived by three daughters, Helen Adair of Henderson, Arleen Smith of Azusa, Calif., and Dorothy Johnson of Prescott, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Genevieve Frazier
Genevieve Frazier, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 4, 1924, in Wisconsin. A resident for 13 years, she was a tool company laborer.
She is survived by one son, Frazier Streich Sr. of Michigan; one daughter, Linda Pfeiffer of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Alice Hobson of Las Vegas and Kay Hansen of Wisconsin.

Esther Golden
Esther Golden, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 5, 1919, in Harrisburg, Pa. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker, a member of Hadassah and Women of B'nai B'rith.
She is survived by her husband, Morris; one son, Joseph Golden of Union, N.J.; one daughter, Lori Golden of Northridge, Calif.; two sisters, Tillie Snyder of North Hollywood, Calif., and Lillian Cohen of Hollywood, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Gwendolyn Haggerty
Gwendolyn Haggerty, 64, of Pahrump died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A resident for four years, she was a registered nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel; one son, William Scrudders of Henderson; one daughter, April Ward of Las Vegas; one sister, Barbara Perkins of California; and three grandchildren.

Norman Andrew Jacobsen
Norman Andrew Jacobsen, 47, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 7, 1952, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 14 years, he was a manager at Wendy's.
He is survived by his wife, Dyanne; one son, Eric Kaiser of Las Vegas; his father, Eric Kaiser of Henderson; and two brothers, Van Jacobsen of Deming, N.M., and Hugh Jacobsen of Las Vegas.

Philip B. Kaplan, M.D., 67, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1931, in Bridgeport, Conn. A resident for two months, he was a retired physician and a Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Celine B.; one daughter, Vera K. Diener of Torrance, Calif.; one son, Matthew A. Kaplan of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Michael Nakeel Kasio, 28, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 14, 1971, in Kenya. A resident for three years, he was a dealer.
He is survived by his father, the Rev. Joseph Kasio of Boulder City; his mother, Naomi Kasio of Kenya; and four brothers, Barnabas Kasio, Moses Kasio and Lawi Kasio, all of Kenya, and Emmmanuel Kasio of Boulder City.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Christ Church Episcopal, 2000 Maryland Parkway. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Julia Little, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 6, 1930, in Chicago. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene; one son, Ron Little of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kathy Allen, and one sister, Marie Basham, both of Lockport, Ill.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Rockney George "Rocky" McHardy, 56, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 9, 1943, in Las Vegas. A resident for two years, he was president of American Tractor and Equipment and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by three daughters, Carolyn McHardy of Costa Mesa, Calif., Sherri Naqui of Corona, Calif., and Mary Rivera of Pomona, Calif.; one son, Bill McHardy of LaVerne, Calif.; one brother, Richard McHardy of Redlands, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Aaron T. Pinkney, 18, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 26, 1980, in New York. A resident for 15 years, he was a Las Vegas High School student.
He is survived by one brother, Anthony F. Pinkney; and one sister, Jan'nine J. Pinkney.

Terry Stanley Preator
Terry Stanley Preator, 62, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 10, 1937, in Greybull, Wyo. A resident for 34 years, he was a Clark County schoolteacher for 34 years and a member of the Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Anne; two daughters, Charmaine Preator of Las Vegas and Terrian Wells of Grand Junction, Colo.; one son, Lazell Preator of Orem, Utah; his mother, Betty Joe Preator, and one brother, Norman Preator, both of Burlinton, Wyo.; one sister, Geraldine Linton of Meeteese, Wyo.; and two grandchildren.

Margaret C. Rial, 67, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local health care center. She was born May 11, 1932, in Canterbury, England. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence; one daughter, Janice Rial-Menze, and one son, Richard Rial, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Kathryn Singleton, and one brother, David Dolfe, both of England; and five grandchildren.

Samuel Salamone
Samuel Salamone, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 17, 1914, in Milwaukee. A resident for nine years, he was a retail upholsterer and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by one son, Stephen Salamone, and one daughter, Rose Marie Treichel, both of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
