Letter: Track too slick Sunday

I thought the Las Vegas IRL race was a good race. Yes, there were too many yellows, but the heat and the slick track making the cars unpredictable contributed to most of the accidents.
Most Indy-car races are not held in the extreme heat that LVMS experienced Sunday.
When the track was green, the racing was fantastic. Sure, it was not one of the IRL's best races, but it was a good race.
CART would have had the same troubles, both in the stands and on the track, that the IRL had in those conditions experienced Sunday.
The IRL comes to race, not drive around in circles in a single-file line (like CART).
It is reporters like you who give the IRL a bad name by constantly reporting on the negative.
