First Security Bank is closing its East Charleston office and consolidating operations into its main branch in downtown Las Vegas.
First Security regional President Dave Smith said the consolidation comes as a result of the bank's earlier acquisition of the former American Bank of Commerce. The First Security branch at 727 South 9th Street will permanently close on Dec. 10.
Smith said all branch staff and operations will be transferred to the First Security office at 530 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
Smith said decisions are pending about future branch closings resulting from his bank's planned merger with Nevada State Bank.
Nevada State Bank is owned by Zions Bancorporation. Nevada State Bank recently merged with Pioneer Citizens Bank.
