Monday, Nov. 29, 1999 | 9:32 a.m.
Sara Findlay, 7, Elk Grove, Calif., was killed in the single-vehicle rollover shortly before noon Sunday about 2 miles east of Elko, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
Her father, Bradley Findlay, 37, was driving their Ford utility vehicle when it drifted off the road. He tried to bring the truck back onto the highway, but overcorrected and it rolled several times, trooper Rocky Gonzalez said.
The girl was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
The father was transported to Elko General Hospital along with her mother, Catherine Findlay, 32, and two siblings ages 3 and 9. A 1-year-old boy in the truck was not injured.
