UNLV's football season came to an end with a 35-17 loss to Colorado State on Saturday afternoon at Sam Boyd Stadium, but the weekend wasn't a total loss for the Rebels.
Demetrius Williams, a 5-9, 175-pound cornerback from Los Angeles Harbor Junior College, gave the Rebels a verbal commitment and is expected to enroll in classes at UNLV in January.
Williams, who has been timed at 4.45 in the 40 and is also an excellent punt and kickoff return man, will have three years of eligibility remaining and is expected to compete for the starting cornerback job vacated by graduating senior Andre Hilliard.
