Anna M. Braunroth
Anna M. Braunroth, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for 15 years, she was born Jan. 12, 1939, in Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her husband, Peter; four daughters: one of Florida, two of Pennsylvania and one of Michigan; two stepdaughters, and one stepson, both of Pennsylvania; her mother, Ann Covert of Bradford, Pa.; three brothers: two of Pennsylvania and one of Michigan; two sisters, both of Pennsylvania; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Valley Crematory.
Betty Haag
Betty Haag, 66, of Boulder City died Saturday in Boulder City. She was born May 23, 1933, in Nevada City, Calif. A resident for 45 years, she was a teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas; one son, Eric Haag of Madison, Wis.; one daughter, Rebecca Haag of Rome; one brother, Alan McCrea of Rough and Ready, Calif.; and one sister, Ann Partington of Grass Valley, Calif.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling private arrangements.
Vivian Hoffman
Vivian Hoffman, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born April 21, 1920, in Ranger, Texas. A resident for 15 years, she was a security officer.
She is survived by two sons, Gregory Hoffman of Las Vegas and Richard Hoffman of Phoenix; one daughter, Carole Leicher of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the Shade Tree Shelter, P.O. Box 669, Las Vegas, NV 89125.
Albert Riley
Albert Riley, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 6, 1930, in Cleveland. A resident for 28 years, he was a retired casino porter supervisor, a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a member of the Culinary Union.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Morgan Riley and Phillip Riley, both of Las Vegas, and Albert Allen Riley of Lansing, Mich.; one brother, Isaac Riley, and two sisters, Lily Riley and Mildred Quinones, all of Cleveland; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Edward Francis Rott
Edward Francis Rott, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 30, 1917, in Ohio. A resident for 45 years, he was a retail business owner and World War II Air Force veteran.
He is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Garman of Henderson, Rosemary Webster of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Toby Power of Las Vegas; and one sister, Grace Bair of Celina, Ohio.
Visitation is scheduled 6-7 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Memory Garden Chapel, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ninth Street and Ogden Avenue. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Colleen Reid Solis
Colleen Reid Solis, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 18, 1936, in Panguitch, Utah. A resident for six years, she was a retired government social worker.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald A.; nine children; one brother, Morris Reid of Gunnison, Utah; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Wildwood Ward Chapel, Sailor Way and Jones Boulevard. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Ila W. Surner
Ila W. Surner, 92, of Henderson died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 17, 1906, in Seattle. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Bethel Smitson of Henderson and Dorothea Gfeller of Roach, Mo.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling private arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, Nv., 89119.
