Lake Mead has variety for hikers

Area hikers can participate in any of seven guided hikes during the month of December at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Hikers should meet at the Alan Bible Visitors Center on U.S. 93 east of Boulder City.

There is no charge for hikes. Participants will meet at the Alan Bible Visitor Center at 9 a.m. and caravan in their private vehicles to the selected trailhead.
Pets are not permitted. Hikers should wear sturdy footwear and long pants. They must bring their own lunch and water.
