John B. Brown
John B. Brown, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 19, 1927, in Beach, N.D. A resident for nine years, he retired after 24 years from General Electric, was self-employed for 12 years with Brown Investigations and was a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Nicki L.; three sons, Kelly Brown of Las Vegas, Jerry Boardman of Oklahoma and Ken Boardman of Grand Terrace, Calif.; three daughters, Kathleen Krause of Adelanto, Calif., and Cheri King and Wendy Jones, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Harold Brown of Jacksboro, Tenn.; one sister, Betty Tackett of Homeland, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Advent United Methodist Church, 3460 N. Rancho Drive. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Jean Ann Coakley
Jean Ann Coakley, 67, of Las Vegas died Nov. 15 in Las Vegas. She was born July 26, 1932, in Revere, Mass. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Sam Licitra
Sam Licitra, 75, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born May 26, 1924, in Chicago. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired automobile sales manager and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Joe Licitra, Tony Licitra and John Licitra, all of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Theodore Madjeski
Theodore Madjeski, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 12, 1928, in Detroit. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired Air Force T-Sgt.
He is survived by his wife, Ursula; and one daughter, Mary E. Madjeski of Las Vegas.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Charley M. Riley
Charley M. Riley, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born April 21, 1920, in Doddsvile, Miss. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker and a Food Bank volunteer.
She is survived by four sons, James Riley of Buffalo, N.Y., Tyrone Riley of Fontana, Calif., Eddie Joe Riley of Modesto, Calif., and Martel Riley of Los Angeles; two daughters, Ruth Alexander of Carson, Calif., and Paulette Casamier of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Eddie Adams of Las Vegas and David Adams of Chicago; three sisters, Hattie Jones and Willie Caradine, both of Chicago and Mary Willis of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Joan Nancy Vest
Joan Nancy Vest, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 28, 1931, in Milwaukee. A resident for four years, she was a retired secretary for Long Beach Honda Motorcycles, cherished all God's four-legged creatures so much she always said she liked them much better than His two-legged ones. Her family says she will be missed by everyone who loved her.
She is survived by one son, Stephen Vest of Washington state; one brother, Paul Beecroft of Independence, Ore.; two sisters, Helene Beecroft of Las Vegas and Doris Beecroft of Escondido, Calif.
Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is arranging private services.
