Metro Police are searching for a man in connection with the shooting death of a 25-year-old Las Vegas man in an East Flamingo Road apartment complex Tuesday night.
Police said the victim argued with the man at an apartment in the 700 block of East Flamingo Road and was shot as he got into a friend's car at about 6:20 p.m., police said. The victim's name has not been released.
The friend drove the wounded man to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he died from gunshot wounds in the chest, police said.
Witnesses told police after the shooting they saw a man get into a blue Geo Metro and leave the area. The car was later found at an apartment complex on Swenson Street.
Police are searching for Brian Dion Sims of Compton, Calif. He is about 20 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 150 pounds with black hair. He may be wearing a gray sweatshirt and dark pants and may be armed with a handgun.
