Top gaming lobbyist to speak at conference

Frank Fahrenkopf, president and chief executive of the American Gaming Association, is set to speak next month at the 16th Annual Nevada Governor's Conference on Travel & Tourism at the new Paris Las Vegas hotel-casino.
Fahrenkopf is to speak Dec. 14 and is expected to discuss political challenges facing gaming including attempts by the NCAA to outlaw betting on college sports and the proliferation of Indian and Internet gaming.
More than 1,000 delegates are expected to attend the travel conference Dec. 13-15. It's produced by the Nevada Commission on Tourism.
