Arthur Ackerman
Arthur Ackerman, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born Aug. 25, 1925, in Philadelphia. A resident for six years, he was a retired owner-operator of a manufacturing plant, a World War II Army veteran and a 32nd Degree Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Marie L.; one daughter, Jacqueline S. Ackerman, and one son, Howard B. Ackerman, both of Las Vegas; and one granddaughter.
Graveside services were scheduled 2 p.m. today in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., handled arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Shriners Children's Hospital, Burn Unit, Zelzah Shrine Temple, 2222 W. Mesquite Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106.
Robert O. Anderson
Robert O. Anderson, 83, of Las Vegas died Nov. 10 in a local care center. He was born June 9, 1916, in Chamberlain, S.D. A resident for 42 years, he owned and operator Anderson Carpet and Drapery.
He is survived by one son, Robert L. Anderson of Seal Beach, Calif.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

Christopher Michael Barger
Christopher Michael Barger, 18, of Las Vegas died Sunday. He was born March 22, 1981, in Nevada. A resident for 18 years, he was a student at UNLV.
He is survived by his parents, Sharon and James Barger Jr. of Las Vegas; and one sister, Jayme Barger of Arizona.

Leona Eileen Buckalew
Leona Eileen Buckalew, 54, of Las Vegas died Oct. 26 in Las Vegas. She was born May 15, 1945, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a hotel manager.
She is survived by her husband, Ed; one brother, George Gardner of Boulder City; and one sister, Patti Smith of Fort Worth, Texas.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.
Randolph Calle
Randolph Calle, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born May 14, 1934, in Winnemucca. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired line supervisor and a Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave.

Victor R. Cota, 34, of Las Vegas died Oct. 26 in Las Vegas. A resident for many years, he was born July 29, 1965.

Helen K. Darcy
Helen K. Darcy, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born April 16, 1917, in DePauw, Ind. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired registered nurse, an Army first lieutenant and World War II veteran.
She is survived by three sisters, Mary Lou Howerton of Corydon, Ind., Rae Kinder of Las Vegas and Judy Thomas and New Salisbury, Ind.; and one brother, William Churchill of DePauw.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the Mountain View Lutheran Church.

Arthur J. Dole, 95, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born July 14, 1904, in Nebraska. A resident for six years, he was an electrical engineer on the building of Hoover Dam, a master mason for 60 years, a member of the Lions Club for 30 years and a charter member in Kai Lua-Kona, Hawaii.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M.; one daughter, Barbara Ann of Warner, Calif.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Christine Foster, 30, of Las Vegas died Nov. 2 in Las Vegas. She was born July 21, 1969, in Des Plaines, Ill. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her companion, Mike Lavinio, and her mother, Rose Dowd, both of Las Vegas; her father, Richard Foster of Holiday, Fla.; and two brothers, Richard Foster of Denver and Jeff Foster of Streamwood, Ill.

Joseph 'Jody' Givaudon
Joseph 'Jody' Givaudon, 70, of Albuquerque, N.M., died Saturday in an Albuquerque hospital. He was born Feb. 11, 1929, in Albuquerque. A former Las Vegas resident for 20 years, he was a retired restaurant manager, a Korean War Army veteran and an avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by one son, Joe Givaudon of Spokane, Wash.; one sister, Laura Hunady of Las Vegas; two nieces and two nephews.
Visitation is scheduled noon-2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Jennie M. Guilford
Jennie M. Guilford, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 4, 1917, in New York. A resident for 52 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Robert Guilford of Las Vegas; one daughter, Barbara Schweitzer of Kilauea, Hawaii; and one grandchild.

Harry Dean Hanley
Harry Dean Hanley, 62, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 30, 1937, in Akron, Ohio. A resident for 14 years, he was an executive events host at Fitzgeralds hotel-casino, a veteran, attended the University of Akron and the Institute for Music in Akron, played in several bands and opened for the Platters and other groups, a member of the Musicians Union and emcee for numerous local tournaments and events.
Visitation is scheduled 6-9 p.m. Friday in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.
Barbara Jane Ingersoll
Barbara Jane Ingersoll, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born May 30, 1924, in Franklin, Idaho. A resident for 47 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Mesquite Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Christy Jones and Patrice DiPinto, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Joe Ingersoll of Las Vegas, Eric Ingersoll of Parker, Colo., and Samuel Ingersoll of Las Vegas; two sisters, Marion Lien of Ogden, Utah, and Jeanne Nielsen of Burley, Idaho; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the LDS Paradise Stake Center, 1725 Palora Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Louise Mae Jeffers, 73, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born May 22, 1926, in Washington state. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

Versie Mae Lavoll
Versie Mae Lavoll, 61, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 16, 1938, in Louisiana. A resident for 34 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Elijah; four sons, Everett Lavoll, Ray Lavoll, Shannon Lavoll and Charles Lavoll, all of Las Vegas; seven daughters, Patricia Lavoll, Mary Lavoll, Martha Lavoll, Katherine Lavoll, Linda Reese and Cynthia Hicks, all of Las Vegas, and Carolyn Ann Gregg of California; her mother, Roxie Traylor of Texas; five brothers, Essie Traylor of California, Huey Traylor and Jerry Traylor, both of Las Vegas, and Jim Traylor and Leroy Traylor, both of Texas; two sisters, Ollie Ward of Las Vegas and Sally Talton of Texas; 60 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 6 p.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. Graveside services will be 1:45 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Lucy B. Lazaro, 52, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 4, 1947, in Saipan. A resident for 14 years, she was a casino porter.
She is survived by her husband, Manolo; two sons, Benny Gogue and Joseph Crux; one daughter, Diana Bermudes; one sister, Mary Ella; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. until noon services Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Larry Manfredi
Larry Manfredi, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Providence, R.I. A resident for 38 years, he was a valet at Circus Circus.
Burial will be in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Larry Nagy
Larry Nagy, 49, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 19, 1949, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 20 years, he was an employee of the Las Vegas Valley Water District and a veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two sons, Christopher Nagy and Steven Nagy, both of Henderson; his mother, Margaret Russell, and one brother, Harry Nagy, both of Pennsylvania.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church, 231 S. Third St. Graveside services will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Muriel Audrey Novello-Chiarappa
Muriel Audrey Novello-Chiarappa, 73, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 18, 1925, in New York. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired registered nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Amos; two daughters, Carol Prewitt of Las Vegas and Edie Chiarappa of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

Christian Leon Packer, 26, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 19, 1972, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a concrete construction worker.
He is survived by his companion, Dana Rodriguez, one daughter, Kylie Nicole Packer, and his mother, Linda L. Packer, all of Las Vegas; his father, Daniel L. Packer of Henderson; one brother, Daniel M. Packer, and three sisters, Summer Packer-Garcia, Melissa R. Packer and Kimberly Anne Packer, all of Las Vegas.

Esther Lee Pamplin, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 21, 1933, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Roosevelt; one daughter, Beatrice Dickerson, and two sons, Alvin G. Pamplin and Arthur Lee Pamplin, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Sylvester Turner of California; three sisters, Alma Fleming of Las Vegas, Lillian Williams of Chicago and Irma D. Jones of New Orleans; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Richard Keith Riley, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 2, 1926, in Red Mountain, Mich. A resident for 13 years, he was a chauffeur/limo driver and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Myrna; two daughters, Barbara Riley and Kami Oisboid, and one son, Paul Oisboid, all of Las Vegas; and three granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife, Salve Vargas; one son, Jon S. Spensko of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; one daughter, Peggy J. Ross of Sacramento; one brother, Robert Spensko of Bakersfield, Calif.; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until a 5 p.m. vigil today. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Robert Starlin
Robert Starlin, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 4, 1934, in Oxford, Kan. A resident for 43 years, he was a retired service station owner-operator, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of Elks Lodge 1468.
He is survived by his wife, Lavetta; one daughter, Robin Thomas, and one son, Dr. Herb Starlin, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Jo Reese of Boca Raton, Fla., Ila Whitley of Oxford, Kan., Ettabelle Case of Hutchinson, Kan., and Melba Bennett of Iowa; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will be private.

She is survived by her mother, Amber Nicole Cook, and her father, Christopher Allen Thomas, both of North Las Vegas.

Ruby H. Weis
Ruby H. Weis, 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born June 23, 1908, in Duluth, Minn. A resident for 21 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Diane Forrest of Las Vegas; one son, John R. Viren of Seattle; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Konstantin Zaiats
Konstantin Zaiats, 30, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 16, 1969, in Russia. A resident for four years, he was an entertainer with Cirque du Soleil.
He is survived by his wife, Irina Sorokina; one son, Artem Zaiats of Las Vegas; and his parents, Victor and Evgenia Zaiats of Russia.
Services were scheduled at noon today in St. Paul the Apostle Orthodox Church, 5400 Annie Oakley Drive. Burial will be in Russia. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
