Kids checking out adult magazines at library
Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999 | 1:03 a.m.
Clark County Commissioner Lance Malone is planning to meet with library officials about a proposal designed to prevent children from checking out adult-oriented magazines such as Playboy.
After parents complained that children had been checking out the magazines at local libraries, Malone pitched the resolution to fellow commissioners on Tuesday, but no action was taken.
The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Board also plans to discuss its policy on adult-oriented magazines on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
The county plans to study the issue further before making any decisions.
